Parrot and Roses
She loves to be outside, and I think she likes the color red. A few years ago she flew away out of an open door and was gone for four days.
Unbelievably, I found her and she was a very hungry bird. Now she is clipped, no more adventures for her. There are Cooper's Hawks here and Great Horned Owls, too, so it's a dangerous world for little parrots.

Does she talk?
She does talk. When she drops something she says Ooops! She calls the dog and gives him commands.
I used to have a veterinarian that came to the house to care for the dogs and birds. After the appointment he would sit on the sofa and chat about this and that. The parrot cage was right next to the sofa and one day as the vet sat and talked a little longer than usual, the bird sneaked up behind him, leaned as close to his ear as possible and said in a very clear, precise voice,"SHUT UP".
Poor vet. He turned as red as a beet and decided that it was time to leave. I did feel badly, but it was really hard not to laugh.
