Vermeer for April 1st
One of Vermeer's most evocative and timeless images. The sleeping man is supposedly a self portrait of the artist. It was recently discovered that the original backing of this painting was a menu and beer list from the tavern where it was painted. It was removed and is now in a museum in Delft.
